現在安野谷は、日本を拠点に、山村に居を構えて作品制作を続けています。
日々の生活の中に漂う生命的な情報や社会的な事象、自然の中で得た観察や感覚を自らの中心に投影し、そこから発生する瞬間的な反射反応を軸に、内在する多層的表現世界の印象を捉えながら具現化していきます。
作品は、絵画やドローイング、コラージュ、パフォーマンス、詩、写真など多岐にわたり、あらゆる手法により森羅万象を表現しています。
物語の場面を描写したような作品や、コラージュ的に描かれた作品、抽象的パターンや文字など、安野谷の作品は画面から立ち上がる視覚的な刺激とともに、音や声、匂いのような感覚的な要素が立ち上がり、作家の多層的表現世界の奥行きを追体験するようです。
初作品集より約10年、初期より近作まで200点余りがまとめられた、美術家・安野谷昌穂の現在地を表した最新作品集です。

1991年生まれ。日本を拠点に、国内外での展覧会などで精力的に活動する。主な個展に、「Escape velocity」（0fr tokyo gallery、東京、2014年）、「Full Bloom -遠雷」（0fr.、パリ、2017）、「おしずかに、光有故/Border of Wonder, Disorder You Shine」（KOSAKU KANECHIKA、東京、2018年）、「日浄虹色／Will Shine」（Gallery Trax、山梨、2020年）、「Earth Song, Birth Gong」（parcel、東京2022年）、「法天地在｜POTENTIAL」（HARUKAITO by island、東京2024年）など。主なグループ展に、「HIDDEN CHAMPIONS OF TOKYO」（Backwoods gallery、メルボルン、2015年）、「0fr. Masaho Anotani is an artist who has attracted worldwide attention since the early days, with solo exhibitions in Japan and abroad, participation in group exhibitions, collaborative work with fashion brands such as Comme des Garçons and Zucca, and the publication of works with Steidl, Germany.
Currently based in Japan, Anotani continues to create art while living in a mountain village.
He projects vital information and social occurrences drifting through his daily life, as well as the observations and sensations he experiences in nature, onto his core. He then embodies these impressions as he captures them from the multilayered world of expression within himself, based on the instantaneous, reflex responses that emerge from his projections.
His artistic oeuvre is diverse, encompassing paintings, drawings, collages, performances, poetry, and photographs, and he employs a variety of techniques to express everything in the universe.
In addition to the visual stimulation that emerges from the works, such as depictions of scenes from narratives, collage-like drawings, abstract patterns, and text, Anotani’s works also invite sensory experiences, including sounds, voices and sensations of smell. This book allows viewers to delve into the depth of the artist’s multifaceted world of expression.
Published about ten years after his first collection, this latest collection of works by Masaho Anotani definitively showcases the artist’s current position, with over 200 pieces from his early to recent years.

Masaho Anotani
Born in 1991 and currently resides in Japan, where he continues to participate in exhibitions within the country and abroad. His major solo exhibitions include “Escape Velocity” (0fr Tokyo Gallery, Tokyo, 2014) and “Full Bloom—Distant Thunder” (0fr, Paris, 2017), “Border of Wonder, Disorder You Shine” (Kosaku Kanechika, Tokyo, 2018), “Will Shine” (Gallery Trax, Yamanashi, 2020), “Earth Song, Birth Gong” (Parcel, Tokyo, 2022), and “Potential” (Harukaito by Island, Tokyo, 2024). His major group exhibitions include “Hidden Champions of Tokyo” (Backwoods Gallery, Melbourne, 2015), “0fr. Galerie This Is Our Music (Part II)” (Galerie Patricia Dorfmann, Paris, 2018), “Interpretations, Tokyo” (Hara Museum, Tokyo, 2019), and “Vong Co RAHZI” (Blum & Poe, Tokyo, 2019). Anotani’s first collection of works has been published as Steidl-Werk No.23, under the title “Deformed” (Steidl, 2015). He frequently collaborates with fashion brands and conceptual projects such as Comme des Garçons, Zucca, Louis Vuitton and Cosmic Wonder.
