2006年から今日までの間に撮影された、東京やその周辺の夜の景色。初来日から8年の月日をまたぎ、彼女独自の観点でとらえられた夜の光と、闇の中に息づく生き物たちの姿は、美しくエキゾチックであり、ときに恐ろしさをも醸し出す。

［アナト・パルナス］1974年イスラエル、テルアビブ生まれ。1996年～2000年テルアビブ大学で日本学を専攻。2000年〜2004年テルアビブのカメラ芸術学校にて写真を学びながら、HAARETZ新聞社で働く。2006年～2013年日本大学芸術学部で国費外国人留学制度の研究生として学ぶ。2013年、同大同学部にて博士号（日本における現代女性写真についての研究）を取得し卒業。主な写真展に、グループ展（2008年、FOIL GALLERY）、「HANABI」（2009年、FOIL GALLERY）、「Holga De Shinjuku」（2010年、Stork Gallery）、「Far Away From (Here)」（2011年、FOIL GALLERY）、「夜気」（2013年、新宿ニコンサロン）がある。

Since moving to Japan in 2006 Anat has been taking photos of the night views of Tokyo and its surroundings. Within the scope of this project she has illustrated a unique interpretation of a night glitter, ghostly images, enhancing them with an exotic beauty and emphasizing their surreal nature.

［Anat Parnass］1974 Born in Tel Aviv, Israel. 1996-2000 Studied in Tel Aviv University, specialized in Japan Studies. 2000-2004 Worked at a HAARETZ newspaper publishing company while studying photography in Camera Obscure Art School in Tel Aviv. 2006-2013 Research student at Japan University College of Art under the MEXT scholarship. 2013 Graduated from Japan University College of Art after accomplishing PhD research on contemporary women’s photography in Japan. Major shows include a group exhibition 2008, FOIL GALLERY), “HANABI” (2009, FOIL GALLERY), “Holga De Shinjuku” (2010, Stork Gallery), “Far Away From (Here)” (2011, FOIL GALLERY), “Stillness of Night” (2013, Shinjuku Nikon Salon).
